It’s funny how I went from wanting to sleep to not being able to close my eyes.

I couldn’t bring myself to tell Daphne that Winter was kidnapped, she’d have too much questions and I doubt that she’ll be able to handle it. For now, I’m just trying my best to act normal around her. The weight of the pack that Nikolai has put on my shoulder is something else to worry about. How am I supposed to take care of an entire pack when I can’t even take care of my own family on my own.

Should I have turned it down? Will that have been the better option?
