Chapter fifty-four

Ariah’s POV

Just when I thought meeting Alpha James at the ballroom would be the worst thing to happen to me, there came Layla.

What a bitch! I had to go change my outfit because I didn't want to go the rest of the night smelling like liquor. To be honest, I didn't want to go back there with everyone's eyes lingering on me, I became the center of attraction twice in ten minutes for opposite reasons. Lowell led me to a bathroom on the ground floor and left me with his suit as I rushed in.

I washed my face and left the water running as I stared angrily at the mirror. I could have smacked the shit out of her if she wasn't who she was.

"Ugh! This is so fucking annoying, I don't have another black dress!" I exclaimed as I brushed my face with my palms.

Luckily I had no make-up on, if not, my face would have been a complete mess.
