Chapter hundred thirty-eight

Ethan’s POV

I called Lowell over the phone the first time but there was no response.

The same was the case the second and third time so I just quit and decided to go over to his house. I believed every word Ariah said and I felt like a cunt for acting like I had done to her, now I had to rectify all that and make it up to her. Layla was everything bad one could think of, but of all that, being a murderer was the worst.

The walk to Lowell’s house took longer than usual and I was completely lost in my thoughts. I wasn’t sure I would be able to look Layla in the face without spitting on the floor. I had to be more protective of Ariah for the time being, Layla was like a snake that could get to her any fucking time. I didn’t bother to knock on Lowell’s front door, I just walked in.
