"So why didn't you say anything all this while?" I flared up and sprang to my feet in anger. "You kept quiet and watched it all happen, even when Ariah was wrongly banished, you just fucking watched it happen! Why, Theresa?" I asked heatedly, glaring down at her.

I hated how calm she was even when I was throwing a fit, it made me look dumb and immature and that only made my anger boil even more.

"Because I never speak out of line, king." She replied gently. "I always know the answers, but I have to be consulted first." She looked at me directly, her sharp, small eyes piercing into mine. "It's not too late to make the right decision and hand the crown over to who it truly belongs to."

Lowell slowly rose to his feet and so did Theresa. "The mate bond is never wrong, you both should have known that from the very beginning." She said and turned her back to us, then walked away into an inner room.
