Chapter 60.

Marissa POV.

Zarah is running on sheer adrenaline to get Athena back to us. I don’t care who we have to kill to get my little girl safely back into my arms. The treeline of the forest is visible in the distance. With a growl, we push on harder and faster to get to them.

Darting through trees and leaping over fallen branches, we come to a stop. I can see the camp just ahead. I open the mind link to my warrior’s.

“Encircle the camp. No one is left alive. When we are in position, we attack.” Acknowledgement flits into my head as I watch and wait.

“We will get her back. She is in there somewhere.” Robert says, and I nod my head. I need my head in the game if I’m going to save my daughter. A cry rings out at the far end of the camp and I become agitated to get to her. My paws pound on the ground as I try to control Zarah.

“Zarah, calm down. We will get to her.” I try to soothe her, but it makes it worse. She pushes forward and I try to pull her back, but she is too strong.
