SARA’s POV

What was it about Alpha Kane that made everyone go pale and terrified every time his name was mentioned? Nat looked exactly like my uncle does right now when she saw the man.

“Alright, if you’re leaving with Alpha Kane, then I won’t stop you. But don’t forget where you come from and what this family has done for you all these years.” Now, he sounded like he was asking me not to cause trouble with Alpha Kane.

He must think I have more influence over the man than I actually do. But he believes I do, which is why he was allowing me to leave without any trouble.

“Oh, Uncle, I’ll remember more than just how you treated me all those years ago. I’ll also remember how I’ve been treated this past year.” He didn’t respond, which was unlike him.

As the Alpha, he prided himself on being in control and getting whatever he wanted whenever he wanted. It must have taken every ounce of his self-control not to use his alpha power to intimidate me at that moment.

When he remained silent for a
