Chapter 27

The moment Lydia stepped into the car, Carson said,

“Lydia, I'm not your driver. Come sit at the front”.

She wanted to argue, but decided against it. She had actually saved the sit for Marian, but since Carson insisted, she made her way to the front passenger's seat.

Immediately, Lydia sat on the chair and began to walk on her seat belt, Carson turned the engine on,

“Huh, aren't you waiting for Marian?” She asked and Carson shook his head.

“There's no time anymore I have to appear in court by 11 am”

Lydia looked at the time, it was 10 am. She watched as Carson drove the car out of the compound, and Marian hasn't still shown up till they disappeared.

Lydia shook her head, Marian will be really angry at her. She'll blame her, definitely.

When Marian came out of the house, she sighted the car as it moved out of the compound. She saw Lydia sitting comfortably in the front passenger's seat,
