Lydia realized that her words were too mean and exaggerated. She slightly saw a strange expression on his face, but it disappeared before she could make out what it was.

“Carson, I… I…”

Lydia trailed off, not knowing what to say or excuse her behavior. She was simply annoyed about the kiss because it was so unplanned and unexpected.

She knew it was a fake relationship, and they should be a little intimate, but not that much. She wasn't emotionally or physically ready for it.

Carson inhaled deeply and his expression changed into a cold one. He hadn't had that face for a long while.

“Your daughter is at home demanding your presence, you will do a lot of good by coming along with me,” Carson said, coldly.

Carson didn't wait for her response but walked to the car.

Lydia bit her bottom lips, obviously annoyed by her rash character and words. She had no right to talk to her benefactor in such a manner.
