Penny’s New Views

Penny woke up and picked a few leaves from her hair, knowing someone would be unhappy with her how she looked. Penny didn’t care one way or another. Her job in this life didn’t need her to look pretty. But everyone told her that she needed to do this or that.

Penny climbed from the bushes she’d taken her unexpected nap until and looked about. Like normal, no one noticed she’d taken another time out of life.

The boy still hadn’t told her his name, and he didn’t like the idea of working with shifters and stuff. But that would change.
