Chapter eighty-five

"Who are you?"

"I am just a slave girl," I shortly replied.

"I know that you are a slave girl but who are you?"

"And I just answered you," I glared.

"That mark on your neck says another thing,"

"It was just a scar," I shrugged but his lips drew back in doubt.

"A scar," he repeats, amassing a nod from me.

"Then what do you have to say about Allen?"

I halt in my step at the mention of that very name.

My breath quickened on hearing his name. Holding the door frame, I inhaled sharply.

"I have nothing to discuss with you,"

"You know that you can't keep running away from the truth, Amelia,"

His words pang sharply into my heart like a deep cut.

I know that soon my identity and who I truly am will be unveiled.

My goal will soon be revealed and till then I am ready to be in the shell.

Without throwing him any glance, I ambled out of the room and down the lobby where Jade was sitting with his eyes darting thoughtfully across the empty space.
