Chapter forty

I sat on my bed as I pondered on what Jade asked me.

Is all this about Allen? The question was still unanswered in my head.

I refused to believe that because I know that this is going to end someday though I pray it never ends but he is the son of an enemy.

Even if not for anything, killing his father will definitely break him.

But my heart twists at any possibility that he might leave me in the future.

I sighed and turned around to take a look at the dungeon that I called my room.

There is nothing to pack from here, I owe nothing much apart from the rags and tattered worn-out clothes that I do pick up from the garbage bin.

I stood up and shoved them all inside a small black nylon bag before walking back to my bed.

Still, in my thoughts, I felt the door pull open and Allen walked in.

He seemed worried which confuses me, I stared at him with a raised brow as he strode toward me.

Standing in front of me, he squatted to my size with his hands placed above my shoulder level.
