Chapter Twenty

Isabelle's point of view

He walked close to me but still hadn't said a word, making the whole scenario look awkward.

"Mr Dominic, good morning." I just had to say something.

"Isabelle, why are you at work, you should be at home." He finally spoke, looking straight at my face.

"Yes, I am fine now so I am back to work," I replied to him, trying to look somewhere else.

"Your condition, you know you're pregnant, you aren't fit to do any hard work." He looked concerned and his voice was low.

"Mr Dominic, I heard you haven't been attending meetings, is everything alright?" I asked him, trying to change the topic.

"It's not an important meeting that really needs my attention. You still haven't answered me yet, Isabelle, you should be at home for now ." He said walking closer to me.

And I moved back a little. " I can't just stay at home all day doing nothing, I'd love to resume work but I won't stress myself too much," I replied softly, I didn t want any more misunderstandings but I s
