Chapter 57 I Like It

This infuriated Laura.

She only went inside to buy a present and the battery pack was stolen. It was under broad daylight as well.

Laura took a deep breath and looked around. There was no place where she could fix the electric scooter. All she could do was to push the scooter forward.

On her way back, a black Maybach drove past slowly. Assistant Jacobs was sitting in the driver's seat. He saw a familiar figure at the side of the road.

"Mr. Jacobs, it's Mrs. Jacobs."

Chris was looking at a file on his lap in the back seat.

He just happened to be at the shopping center for some business matters.

He raised his hand and said, "Find a place to set me down."

Assistant Jacobs nodded and found a place out of Laura's sight to set Chris down.

Chris got out of the car and knocked on the car window. "You can head back first."

Assistant Jacobs nodded and started the car. Chris then began chasing after Laura.
