Grey caught her very fast. He didn't know what was happening but he was able to see Avery before she fell.

Avery blinked once as if she couldn't comprehend what had just happened.

"Are you alright?"

Avery pushed him away as if he was dirt. "I'm fine!" Her voice was firm, unlike before.

And it felt weird.

Grey readjusted himself and took a step backward. "That's ok then, to know you are ok."

Avery regarded him for a moment. "You are Grey?"

Grey nodded once. "Of course, I am."

Avery huffed. "Seriously? So, you didn't expect me to believe that, do you?" She chuckled. "I just wonder if all men are the same. You go around adhering to match-making as if you are some useless vase or you are merely trying to have a rich bride."

Grey was taken aback. "Pardon me?"

"You do know what I'm talking about, don't you?"

"Well, maybe I do but you shouldn't talk to me in such a manner. I just saved your life."
