Sammy is insecure

“Sammy…are you sure you'll stay up?” Jessy asked me when I was making coffee for myself. It had been a few hours since we came back. I made sure the twins were clean after their day out playing at the pack.

“I'm fine, Jessy… I'll wait for him, “I said, waving my cup of coffee at her. I was worried about David since he didn't call me in the morning. I tried calling him, but his phone wasn't going through.

“Okay then… goodnight,” Jessy said with a smile and gave me a half hug and walked out of the kitchen.

I smiled and pulled out a chair and sat down, the coffee was creamy and hot and just a sip warmed my body completely. I sat there waiting for the man to get back. I didn't know why I was waiting for David, but I just couldn't go to bed without knowing he was okay.
