CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT

"What are we doing here?" I inquired, my curiosity piqued as we rolled into a ranch.

Alistair's choice of fun intrigued me; despite his cowboy attire, he didn't strike me as the horse-riding type. As he brought the vehicle to a gradual halt, he turned to me, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

“You’ll see.” He said and we alighted the vehicle. I watched as he went to talk to a lady. They both looked like they were acquainted with one another as they laughed like old time friends.

"Your girlfriend, I presume?" the dark-skinned lady inquired, casting a friendly glance in my direction. Her warm smile adorned a face that exuded perfection, leaving me silently captivated by her presence.

Her skin boasted a smooth caramel tone, framing an oval face adorned with full eyebrows and lips. With a curvaceous figure, she exuded beauty, and beads of sweat shimmered on her forehead, catching the sunlight.
