Unknown POV I land in Edmonton and pick up the rental car she booked for me. It’s nothing special, a white, 2 door Camry. It will do the trick though. She didn’t book me a hotel, as we weren’t sure where I’d be going from here so I quickly g****e and find some interesting places. The Hotel MacDonald, old but expensive… just because the Queen spent a night there does not mean a room is worth $1400 a night! Then there’s the Fantasy Land hotel in West Edmonton mall. I need to come back with Duane when this is over! The rooms are themed, there’s a water park and amusement park in the mall as well, but for just me it doesn’t make sense to stay there. Ashton POV Day 1 at the cabin was, almost, perfect. I did kinda burn some rice… Not enough to set off the smoke alarm, thank goddess. As I walked from the room to the kitchen I realized I didn’t ask her what she would like to drink. I couldn’t have been gone more than 30 seconds and she was out, snoring like a little lumberjack, and looking like an angel. I couldn’t help myself; I stood there watching her sleep for far longer than the sweet to creepy ratio allowed. The look on Alaina’s face when I told her I learned how to cook a few dishes made every second of torment the kitchen staff inflicted on me. I say torment, but in reality, it was fun. There was a lot of laughing, a literal cr.ap ton of burnt food, and getting to truly know some of the pack members.
