He stopped talking and stared at me, waiting for my reaction. I was still speechless, wrestling with the information he had just given to me.

"Okay." I took a deep breath. "So what’s a Luna?"

He sighed. I was sure this topic was one to be discussed.

"A Luna is the Alpha's mate, a soul mate. We know when we find our mates."

"So, Keira and Aaron?"

"Yes." He confirmed.

Something I remembered rushed to my head.

"The day after the party, when I met you, I overheard you tell Keira that someone was your mate. Me?”

He nodded.

"Yes."

My body tensed up as my heart rate picked up.

"So I’m supposed to be your Luna?"

"Yes." He shifted his eyes out toward the ocean. "If that’s not what you want, you are free to say otherwise.”

The day he told me to reject him popped in my head. That is why he looked so nervous?

"I never said I didn't want you, Jason."

He looked at me. A moment had passed before a trickle of rain tapped the tip of my nose.
