It has been 2 months and 3 weeks since Avalon had walked out of the Academy. And I’m not going to lie, her leaving like that broke me. We had been each other’s confidents and best friends since we were 8 years old.
I knew everything about my fierce little warrior. Like she had no interest in any one else, only me. That she was a fierce fighter despite her small stature. But mostly, her passion for the cause.
Her whole being strived for the day that she could be out on the front line, defending innocents and killing the monsters that slaughtered her family and countless others.
So to be told that the person I thought she was, wasn’t in fact not the person she is at all, shook me to my core.
