Z couldn’t understand why she broke down after Hail’s stupidly declared that he’s going on to the dark side. Or was he? He merely said they’d see each other soon on the battlefield, so it vaguely implied his motives to be a part of her enemy.
Hail’s action just didn’t sit right for her. He’s someone he perceived to be strong and, a bit hard-headed, but she had never anticipated him to be this way. It’s too absurd Z’s even wishing for it to be just a dream.
However, no matter how she pinched herself, she wasn’t waking up. It’s either she’s trapped in her nightmares or her reality had already been linked to hell.

Z kept her eyes closed. She’s trying to be indifferent to the screams of the Shadowests suffering Dark’s wrath. Although she wanted to help them, she’s yet to acquire sufficient energy to stand toe to toe with his father.As energy accumulated inside her, the wound she got from the spear issued a puff of smoke. The skin sewed itself and the pain had been turned to a tickling sensation. But a prickling pain on her stomach instantly replaced it. Breaking the limitations and going way beyond the maximum skill that one had been born with: That’s his secret for being an invincible legend. It was rumored that the three other legends couldn’t come close to the level of mastery that Dark had attained. That’s why they never waged war against his Empire. Besides, almost all of his underlings had the strength of a thousand men, which made the Forbidden City a formidable place. With that reputation, Dark never wanted to have a bad seed; hence, he decided to keep an eye on his daughter’s training. Michelle and Berry were standing right outside their quarter to guard the remaining Shadowests inside. They were being attended by Granny Williams, along with Jane who’s more worried about the fatigue Granny now had. She’d been healing a lot of Shadowests in a short amount of time, and Michelle couldn’t imagine how much energy she already wasted. Above all, what she couldn’t anticipate was the fact that only about thirty Shadowests remained, along with five lackeys who were lucky enough not to get caught with Dark’s wrath. What a shame! They were supposed to be the future of Pasithea but, against a legend who was almost forgotten, they proved to be nothing special. “Are you okay?” whispered Berry, narrowing his eyes at the fierce battle between a Legend and a Skipper. Shadow Wielders Institute of Knowledge changed dramatically the night after Dark paid a visit. Not only had he been able to kill a lot of Shadowests, but he was also able to freeze most of them. Michelle would never forget the terror Dark had left. When her shadow saved her, she was able to spot the spears hitting all over the field, freezing even the meadows. It’s as though the thunders were probing the spears to do more damage as it groaned ever loudly. She was just glad that everyone was inside their Quarters; however, long after she thought of them, the shadow Dark left slowly split into two, bringing along with it a sheet of film, which were wrapped by purple lightning. Michelle couldn’t believe her eyes, but she had to acknowledge that if it’s Dark’s making, there’s no doubt it would be beyond ordinary. The more it stretched, the more the film grew weaker, cracks dancing all the way to its stretched surface. It’s spelled a problem only known to itself.

He lends some of his energy to Granny. He also released some of her tension from Dark’s terrible appearance by extracting some of her memories. Michelle thought it wouldn’t help Granny at all, considering that he would still put it back. Well, it would make her work without thinking about anything.
