Confrontation
Z’s heart was heavy as she sat cross-legged in the middle of the field. It’s been over two hours and, despite the glares of the sun, she was still yet to complain. She didn’t know if anyone noticed her absence, but she bet they would. But like usual, they wouldn’t care enough to look for her.
That wasn’t her concern, though. It was the fact that no matter how drenched her uniform gets, she remained clueless as to how she’d get the headmaster’s head. There’s no way she could be toe to toe with him, especially that she had no shadow and her life-energy wouldn’t be of use unless she had a death wish.
Far from that, she also felt a little concerned about what the Nobles would feel after they hear her betrayal. It would really turn out to be a big disappointment for them, considering their jubilant screams and upfront acceptance for her existence. Somehow, she’s having a second thought of being a murderer.
