Childhood Memories

Fenris made the right choice, leaving all the cleaning to Christen. Not only did the cabin look far better than before his attempt to clean, Christen seemed a little better as well. She wasn’t all smiles and rainbows, but the fact that she put in the effort to do something without being set off in any way made him happy.

There were a few times when she took a pause between her work, seemingly in thought about something, but he managed to snap her out of it. Nothing difficult, just made bits of comments on her cleaning or if she had gotten tired.

… And that he would take over for her if she wanted to rest. The last one most especially got her moving. Was he offended by that? Just a bit. Sure, he understood how little ‘skill’ he had in the area, or lack thereof. But it still did hurt him a bit.
