"I see. So that’s the story,” Keenan sighed, having been told everything from Forrest and Kiara about Christian’s background, as he took a sip of some tea.

The three were in the dining room, talking about Christian’s situation while the boy was being occupied by Forrest’s servants. Dinner had long since ended. As they ate earlier, both Forrest and Kiara had a hard time telling Keenan about the boy. Not because they didn’t know how he would take it, as it was more out of concern for the child. Forrest informed his mate of the results Franklin had sent, hoping she would tell her father ahead of time about the boy so they would have this discussion at a better time with a better atmosphere. He did not think he would return to have to explain everything to his former Alpha with his mate.

Thankfully for them, as it would turn out, Keenan had a soft side towards kids. A side that was foreign to Forrest, who always remembered Keenan as a stern Alpha wolf to his pack members, even the pups. H
