39: You owe me a kiss

Hosting a party was tough. Switching venues in such a short time was tougher. I scanned the list on my screen, deleting names and adding more. The caterers were already sorted out. The event planners were taking care of the rest. Waylen was sparing no cost on this party. I still didn’t know his intention. 

He had pushed most of our meetings back. The only meeting of importance was the one with the CEO of Sterling Corp, which never held. Waylen hadn’t spoken about it, but I knew he was trying to find a way around it. 

A second yawn escaped me. I dropped the glasses I only used when on my laptop to the desk and stretched my arms. One peek at my phone showed it was time for my lunch break.
