I immediately sprawled all over the bed and kicked my feet in the air as I put the phone up to my ear.

I pouted a little. "I've been waiting to communicate with you all day. I completely forgot that we could get phone calls," I whined to him.

"How have you been?" His deep voice resonated through my ears, reminding me how much I missed him.

"I'm okay," I shrugged.

"I've been miserable," he said. "I was just looking for a way to talk to you all day. What did you do to me? Why does my life feel so empty when you're not here with me for even a second? I couldn't even concentrate on any of the work. I was starting to wish that I went with you. I don't know if I would be able to survive for so long."

"Oh, come on," I chuckled, rolling my eyes at him. "Don't be such a crybaby. It's just a day in between. We'll see you tomorrow. Don't worry, okay?" I teased, even knowing that I loved how crazy over heels he was over me.
