I put my arms around him to receive him in a hug, He pressed my head against his embrace.

“I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist. I had to clear all my work and show up today, even the lycan council's meeting. I canceled it all,” he said, his fingers stroking through my hair.

He immediately got defensive, realizing Mandy was here, and I was calling him Alpha in her presence.

He held my hand and put me behind him.

I turned to look at Mandy. “This is my mate, and he's the alpha of our pack.”
