Chapter 28 (Unveiling the secrets)

He remains silent for a while, staring at me when I discover his lips trembling. He is hesitating to tell me and it's happening for the first time ever. I realize I'm being very rough with him and I shouldn't do that. He has been always understanding whatever the situation is. But I'm losing my temper when I should tackle this situation carefully. There must be some big reason.
I don't let out anything further and cut another piece of the cake then I put it into my mouth.
"That's true actually. I'm becoming a good cook", I can't talk properly as I fill mouth with the cake. He finally chuckles, looking at me and places his thumb on the corner of my lips. He lightly wipes off the icing and sucks his thumb. I feel my cheeks turning hot with his actions.

He was Christian. I buried my head into his arms, finding the peace. Though we don't know the exact time when we fall in love, I always believed it was the day when I felt something deep for him. Maybe, it was love which kept growing between us over the years. And today I'm promising to myself I'll be there for him forever, no matter whatever the situation is. The way he loved me, handled me, supported me, I'll try my best to match it.
