"Actually... I.. it happened last night. After coming from the shower I was trying to blow dry my hairs. So, the dryer touched my neck", I lie.
"Really?", he exclaims.
"Yeah. So, I left it and came beside you to sleep", I mumble. I hope he believes. He catches me every time I lie.
I lower my eyes, preparing myself for more questions. He gets up and cups my face, his eyes glued to my neck. He looks at it intensely, lightly touching the band-aid. I just stare at him and his concern filled face.
"You should be careful", he says, looking at my neck. "Did it burn too much?"
"No", I sigh as he trusted my words.
