Defy

We rolled up to the deserted warehouse on the outskirts of town, its rundown facade looking super creepy in the fading light. I cut off the engine, and the silence was deafening, except for the creaky old sign swaying in the gentle breeze. Chris wasn't with me, but I knew he had my back, watching from a distance with his sniper rifle locked and loaded.

I stepped out of the car, my boots making a loud echo on the pavement. The air was thick with tension, and I could feel Chris's eyes on me from his spot on the hill. I walked forward, scanning the area like a hawk, my senses on high alert for any sign of trouble.

As I approached the warehouse, a figure emerged from the shadows. It was the mysterious woman who'd tried to hypnotize me earlier, her eyes gleaming with a sinister vibe. She stepped forward, a sly smile spreading across her face like a crack in a mirror.

"Welcome, Daniel," she said, her voice all husky and seductive. "I've been waiting for you."
