Recall

I stood alone in the desolate night, my senses on high alert as I felt the presence of multiple people surrounding me. My anxiety still lingered from the previous encounters, and I clenched my fists, ready to fight again if necessary.

"Who the hell is out there?" I screamed, my voice echoing through the darkness.

Gabriel emerged first, his figure illuminated by the faint moonlight. I felt a mix of emotions - relief, anger, and confusion. I didn't know whether to punch him or hug him, so I yelled instead.

"Gabriel, where were you?! You said we would face Belzebub together. But you weren't there when he struck. You weren't there when he almost made me kill my best friend. You weren't there when I...I..." I broke down, falling to my knees as tears streamed down my face. I forced myself to continue, "You weren't there when I lost Chris."
