Awakening caused a sore throat: like sandpaper scraped off the inner layer, even breathing was painful! I was extremely thirsty. I tried to get up, but with horror I realized that I could not even move a finger. When I opened my eyes, I didn’t even really see anything - there was a cloudy veil before my eyes. I wanted to scream, but it wasn't a wheeze that came out of my throat, it was a hiss.

From the fear that I remained an invalid, I began to tremble. And as if through a thick layer of cotton wool I heard a voice, but I could not make out the words and understand who it belongs to. Someone lifted me up, and I realized that they were trying to pour something down my throat.

With difficulty, but I was able to take a few small sips of some terribly bitter tincture, from which my throat was scorched by a bright flash of pain, after which my consciousness turned off. I don’t know how many times I came to my senses like this, but each time I felt a little better.
