Amelia's pov

I sprinted, my lungs burning, my mind racing just as fast or probably faster than my feet were going. Raiden had ignited a firestorm of chaos within me that made each step I took further away from him, echo into my mind.

Shaking off the feeling of his touch, his lips on mine, the taste of his kiss, the taste of him seemed impossible when my lips still tingle at the reminder that he was there, tasting me, taking control of me.

Thankfully Raiden doesn't follow after me, doesn't call me either to stop so I am relieved. Until I spot Foster a bit far ahead, he's not running or rushing, he's actually taking his cool time.

"Foster!" I called after him, running over to him before he could escape me. He stiffens, barely turning to look at me when I stop beside him.

I frowned. "I promise you what you saw back there was nothing. It meant nothing."
