SYDNEY

It felt like taking the back seat in a car, that was what giving Rieka full control felt like. I watched helplessly from the deepest corner of my mind as she lunched for Victor's throat — her aim set on his jugular. He had no time to respond, falling onto his side with a thud. Rieka made sure not to sink our canines too deep, the wound being superficial so it would heal easily.

Rieka backed away and waited for Victor to stand onto his paws. A wolfish grin found its way to his fury face, his eyes glowing with surprise. He definitely didn't expect me to do that, and I definitely didn't expect that either. Wolves didn't come fully trained in the art of combat but apparently mine did. I had to get use to the fact that my wolf wasn't like ordinary wolves. She was the definition of a beast, skilled and precise in her moves.

Sydney feels hurt with Victor's actions of not allowing her to mark him. Victor loves her so much that he's willing to lose her to the fated mate bond she has with Quade. He does regret marking her but he just wasn't ready to lose her yet without letting her know how he feels about her.

Victor so selfishly mark Sydney the night she met her mate but now after screwing her and Sydney ready to mark him he suddenly think about Sydneys safety hence he doesn’t want it but at the same time didn’t talk to her to clear things w her wolf if it’s ok for Sydney to mark him. yeah good man. smh
