Ch 29 - A Presentation Of Princes

By late afternoon, all the Alphas had returned to their homes, with Killian stationing surveillance teams on the packs they were suspicious of. They were still not sure about the castle being bug free, so Zen teleported the team to Killian’s pack.

“So, this is where the Lycans live,” Hale commented.

Zen had just teleported him last, and they were standing outside together. “It’s been a lot for you to take in, hasn’t it?”

“Not really. I mean, did I expect any of this? Not really, but I have my mate now. I can’t really complain,” Hale replied.

Zen smiled. “How’s that been going?”

“She’s amazing, but she’s been through a lot. I’m still thinking about how to really be there for her though. What she went through isn’t something small,” Hale pointed out.

“I haven’t known her all that long, but she’s an open book, and I kept tabs on her over the years. I watched what Spunky and Killian leaving their pack did to her, as well as the whole thing with Jordan. I won’t lie to you. None of it was p
