164. Escape The Chaos

Heidi didn't know which words to focus on, her long-gone headache threatening to return as her temples throbbed slightly.

Her dizziness also returned out of nowhere and she swayed. At the same moment, the breakfast she'd just eaten didn't want to stay in her stomach.

“What is wrong with you, Heidi? We just spoke about your marriage and you already look pale. Don't you like him?” Grandpa Jeffery mistook her haziness for the fear of getting married again. “Or are you not over that boy of the Harrisons yet?”

But her mother had on a different look, her curious eyes accessing Heidi.

“How about you join me for a hike?” Her father suggested. “It seems you need some fresh air.”

Yes, Heidi needed the fresh air, but she didn't feel like walking for some miles.

On one hand, was her oblivious father offering her a free ticket to leave the house, while on the other hand was her detective mother who looked ready to bombard her with a barrage of questions once they were alone.
