“Do you think I would lie on her?” Grandpa Winston answered. “She came here and begged me on her knees to approve of her. When I ordered the servants to throw her out, she pretended to faint.”

“Ha! Grandpa, you're so cruel.” Heidi slapped the table, laughing hard.

Grandpa Winston laughed along. “Don't underestimate me, Heidi. I have the right dose of medicine for those who think they can fool me.”
