Chapter 194: "Surprises come in a package of two"

I keep my mind focused; I am here to see mom and that is all I am going to think of. I walk between the old graves and I find my mom's where I kneel and sigh. "Hi, mom…"

It has been quite disturbing; not knowing what is threatening us only makes our lives more difficult. As if finding some sort of balance with humans wasn't hard enough. To have my children so far and it makes me homesick; only Caleb's love keeps my sanity. My phone rings for the third time, I check again and, just as before, I see Caly trying to reach me. I will call her back when I am done, my mother is right now my priority.

I caress the stone and pick up the dead flowers. I put them in a bag and replace them with the new bouquet I brought with me. There is a sadness in me and I can finally let some tears run down my face, this is the only place I am able to be me and not the Luna of the Wolves. I start to feel a tight pain in my chest and I sit on the grass. I am surprised that my pain is so great.
