***SUMMER'S POV***"Summer Ellie Remmington, you can't be drinking when we have a business to do tonight. Give me that," Smokey says removing the bottle of whiskey from my hand and keeping it on the table. "Leave me alone, I need liquid courage if I am going to steal from Sinclair Declan Sorvino, I need to do it with substance in my system," I mouth out standing. At twenty-one, I am just above 5'2 making me shorter than my pals. Before Smokey could respond, the door to our two apartments opens and Gunner walks in carrying snack bags. "Food," I mouth out walking towards him. He hands me a bag and I dig my fingers in the bag, pulling out a greasy burger. Biting into it, the flavor of rich cheese, meat, and tomato fills my taste buds. I hear groaning sounds coming from my two best friends and glaring at them, they look away. "Get some manners. You can't start your day with whiskey and fast food," Smokey blurts out his hand reaching into the bag and coming out with fries. He pops t
***SUMMER'S POV***The Sorvino MansionIt's a rainy night. The lights in the mansion are dimmed out and the last light went out at 11:21 p.m. It is 1:39 a.m. And time to move forward. The guards on duty are away from the Mansion and it is time to move forward with our plan. Smokey and Gunner are in front and I am walking behind him. We stand behind the mansion, the window of one of the higher walls is locked, but that is where I have to get in. My breathing is ragged from fear."Hush, Summer. You are going to get us caught," Gunner says, and I nod at him. "I'm ready," I say. Smokey and Gunner form a ladder with their hands and I climb up. Reaching the wall, I stand and force the window open. Smokey says I have thirty seconds to deactivate the alarm once I get inside, if not, it will go off and we will be in trouble. Noted. You can do this, Summer. You need to pay for the place you live in and let Smokey know you are not a waste of space in his group. With those words, I slide
***SIN'S POV***The loud knock on the door woke me from a good sleep and when I flipped open the bedroom door, Matteo, my right-hand man was there, his face sweaty. "You have been robbed. The money is gone," he says and I frown. Grabbing my t-shirt, I put it over my scarred chest, proof that I have demons on me I have to hide. "No one steals from me. Who did it?" I ask sliding downstairs as my face squeals into a scornful angle. I take a look at my townhouse. Scattered, a few of my glasses are broken, and my wine closet is a disaster. A few bottles on the floor. "Spike started barking and alerted the guards. Before I got here, they had left, but my men are tracking them. They wouldn't go far," Matteo mouths out. I hear Bear barking and that leads me to the kitchen. Opening it, Bear growls as he pounces on me. "They locked my dog in the kitchen?" I ask angrily rubbing Bear's head. He was Alice's dog, I don't care what they want but no one touches this dog, and goes unpunished.
***SUMMER'S POV***Getting caught wasn't part of the plan. Smokey didn't give a plan in case we got caught but from previous jobs I know one thing, if the police get involved, I should never open up about my teammates. "What is your plan?" the man before me asks his body shifting to face me. Dark hair cropped on the sides, his face consists of a strong cheekbone and when he speaks, they rise deliberately, giving him that dangerous air. "If you let me go without involving the police, I might ask my friends to return part of your money," I say, knowing this is the silliest thing to say. The man before me bursts out laughing, but the sound of his rich laughter causes my stomach to knot, I twitch on the seat. "You steal from me and you expect me to let you go? Crazy. You must have another thing coming your way," he blurts out."Well, damn you because I am the one stuck with you, and your bag of money is fucking gone. What are you going to do about it?" I challenge him. Instantly, th
***SIN'S POV***I draft a contract on my table and put my name at the top, I write Summer's name at the bottom, giving enough space for her blood to stick to the paper. Summer might think this is only for ninety days but that is where she has it all wrong. I am going to keep little Miss Redhead all to myself. A blood pact might suffice for now. "No one signs contracts with blood anymore. What are we, in the fifteen century or what?" she argues her pretty lips pouting out as she revolts. "Too late to back out now, Summer. You should have thought about the consequences before you jumped into my house, breaking into my kitchen," I blurt out putting my hand out, waiting for her hand. "Would you have done this to the guys?" she asks her eyes flashing against mine. I pause. She is trying to throw me out of the hook, but it will not work. "They would have had bullets in their heads and long discarded by now. Is that what you want?" I demand hardening my eyes on hers. "No!" she sighs a
***SUMMER'S POV***I don't know what Sin and Matteo were saying but from Sin's tone, he was pissed off about something his bodyguard had said. Matteo had wanted to shoot me, I think I need to look out for him if I have to spend the next ninety days here and come out alive. Wanting to hear what they are saying, I take eager steps towards the door, avoiding the stink from my leg. "I'll stay away from her if I were you," Sin says. I don't know who they are talking about, but I don't have enough time to register the fact that the conversation has ended as the door knob twists and my eyes widen in panic. I get glued to place and as Sin's full body comes into the room, he stops and his nostrils flare as his dark eyes burn a hole through me. "I asked you to stay put," he bites out striding towards me and wrapping his hand around my arm, pulling me towards his face. I stretch my neck backward to see his face. He has a scowl on his manly features. "I don't take orders
***SIN'S POV***First, the little redhead breaks into my house and helps her friends get away with my money, next, she tries to run away from me by escaping through the window. Dumb wit. She has a peanut brain and the moment I lay my hands on her _when she is back to safety of course_ I would give her a piece of my mind about what I think about this display of actions. A fucking brat. I had just gotten comfortable in bed when I heard Summer's heart-wrenching screams and rushing to her bathroom, I got scared something might have happened to her. Well, she was trying to escape. Good grief. Rushing downstairs, I make it to the back where my men are staring at her, as she talks about not wanting to come down because I would kill her. Fear me, little redhead. I am a very dangerous man once angered. "Summer!" I call out and she shakes her head, refusing to look at me. "You are making matters worse for you by staying up there," I warn. "It's better than facing your w
***SUMMER'S POV***'FUCKKKKK!!! FUCK! FUCKK! FUCK IT!'I should never have baited Sinclair. Goddamn it. But I couldn't resist it. He is so attractive, he even smirks like the fucking devil. No man has ever touched me like this. Well, except uncle. I don't want to think about that. No one has touched me this intimately, yet, I let Sinclair touch me like that. He finger fucked me and oh! I loved every moment of it. Watching him slip down my body and out of the bed, disappointment watches over me as I glare at him. Fun time is over and a cold mood has washed over the atmosphere. "Sinclair," I call out gently. "Call me, Mr. Sin, Summer. Nothing's changed," he warns and I shudder. I feel my heart break a tinge, and tears hit the back of my eyes, I quickly blink away because I need to be brave to face a man like Sinclair. Composing myself, I speak out again. "Mr. Sin, I would like you to uncuff me, it is becoming uncomfortable," I state and he stops mid-walk and swi
