Third person's pov The day had fortunately gone by quickly and Alexa found herself brushing her haid once more to make sure she looked alright. It was time for the party and Sasha had texted her the address saying she told a couple of people she would be in attendance and they were expecting her. Her excitement had built up even more but with it came the usual anxiety, and for a moment she just sat in front of her dressing mirror staring at her reflection while deliberating on what to and where to go from here, while trying to decide whether or not she truly wanted to attend the party now. What if no one wanted her there? What if people made fun of her, what if someone tried to harras her? What if she seemed out of place, she couldn't help but think about all that at once. She had to accept that she looked different in the dress she was wearing, looked nothing like herself at all, and though she looked beautiful she couldn't help but feel insecure about her looks. She was dressed i
ALEXA’S POV “What are you doing? Leave me!”. I said as I struggled even more. He ignored not only my protests but my struggles as well. And once we were in his room he backed me against a wall once and leaned into me so we were mere inches apart. To say the whole situation was unnerving would be an understatement, but the proximity, to say it was alluring would be a bigger understatement. “You have two options, Alexa, take it off or I rip it off”. He said to me. And for some reason a sweet surge shot to my core and rippled through the pit of my stomach. I panted heavily as I stared up at him with tears still streaking down my cheeks.“Why….why are you being so mean?”. I asked him.“You’re making me be like this”. He answered. I sniffled quietly as I deliberated on what to do, was I to let down my pride and do as he said or was I to push him to his limits and test his savagery? A lump formed in my throat and the pit of my stomach begun hitting up as I thought about the latter, fo
THIRD PERSON’S POV Alexa’s eyes sprang open and the recollect of last night came flooding back, and for reason she felt enveloped by shame and indignity; she had literally begged him last night. She pushed herself to a sitting position wanting to leave at once but found that she wasn’t alone in bed today. And for a moment she just sat there staring down at Calan who seemed to be fast asleep, and though she could stay there forever and just watch him she wanted to leave before he woke up and found her here, she wasn’t sure she was ready to face him just yet. But just as she began climbing out of bed she felt him hold her hand and she almost had a heart attack, she turned around quickly to face him once more but his eyes remained closed. “Don’t leave”. He said to her. His voice was deep from having just woken up. Her gaze darted around quickly as she thought of what to say. And it was only then that his eyes fluttered open slowly, and for a moment all he did was stare up at her; he
Third person's pov It was Monday, Alexa had Calan had left for the office like always and Alexa had gone to school where she met an excited Sasha who had squealed about Alexa's life like a movie in which she wanted to be a part of, Rayne had watched quietly while shaking his head amusedly every now and then. "Buy the party was lit though". He said after Sasha had finally stopped the drama. Alexa sighed. "It's a shame you couldn't make it". Sasha said. "And I'm not surw the others would like to invite you to their parties since it kind of seemed like you blew this invitation off". Alexa nodded. "What if....i throw my own party?". She asked them. And a dark and deviant smile curved Rayne's lips. "You're finally thinking like the man". He said. "It's not....exactly my idea but....". She said quietly. "What'd you think?". Sasha nodded quickly with a bright smile. "Trust me, it's gonna be a blast, everyone's gonna turn up". She said. Alexa couldn't help but worry still, it was
There was silence for a long time, complete and absolute silence, and then there were faint noises; the kind of ones that sounded like they were coming from a closed glass window. The sounds had Alexa's eyelids twitching slowly beforw her lashes finally fluttered open. And for a moment all she did was lie still as she stared at the blurry white ceiling which seems so far and unfamiliar, she tried blinking a couple of times to clear her vision and it worked, and it was only when everything became clear that she begun to feel the dull throbbing in her head. She let out a small groan as she looked around slowly. From the look of it she was either in a hospital or the school clinic, and she couldn't help but scold herself for having been so stupid as to wind up here. "She's awake sir". She heard a female voice say. Probably the nurse informing Micheal that she had regained consciousness. Micheal...... It truly was unfortunate that it took her falling from a flight of stairs to g
Third person’s pov Not much had been said after Micheal had left them alone, Calan had simply asked her if she needed some sometime to fully gather her bearings before they left and she had nodded. And after sometime; when she was sure she wouldn’t lose her balance from the throbbing in her head she let him know and he informed the nurse who gave her some pills to take before going to bed. And in the car she sat with her head leaning against the closed window even though Calan had tried to get her to lean against him instead. It wasn’t like she was mad at him or something, she just didn’t feel like talking to him or anyone else, not even Micheal, perhaps it was herself she was angry at, perhaps she was angry that it took having such a humiliating talk with her husband and his best friend to get her to straighten up. She let out a tired breath before brushing her hair from her face, she couldn’t wait to get home and get some sleep. “Are you upset?”. Calan asked her, his voice was
Alexa’s point of view I woke up to the sound of someone softly knocking at the door, and it was only when I blinked to clear my vision a couple of times that I realized it was bright and streaks of sunlight were streaming into the room through the slightly parted curtains. My eyes widened slightly as I realized I had overslept, I pushed the covers off me quickly and climbed out of bed, I felt a lot better now, the pills had helped, they had probably contributed to why I had overslept too. I hurried to the door and pried it open to find Calan standing there looking slightly worried, his temple was creased and his brows were furrowed, however, they smoothened out on seeing me.“Are you alright? I’ve been knocking for some time now”. He said to me.I cleared my throat quietly before nodding.“I overslept”. I said. “Good morning”. “Good morning. Trust you’re feeling better”. He said and I nodded once more. He reached out and gently brushed my disheveled hair from my face. “You’ll s
ALEXA’S POV I tried not to gawk as I stepped into the grand workspace which was Calan’s office; it was darkly furnished and even more captivating than the rest of the building, understandably so since he was the boss here. And for a moment all I did was stand at the entrance staring at everything and nothing in particular, it was all so awkward, so….weird. “Come on”. He said on noticing that I hadn’t moved from the door. I cleared my throat quietly and nodded. I followed him further into the office and settled down on a couch when he asked me to. “Did you have breakfast?”. He asked as he settled down beside me. I nodded. “Good to know”. He said. “I like your outfit, you look…..”. His gaze raked over me once more as he probably thought about what to say. “Different?”. I asked him. He nodded. “Yes, older”. He said. Older? Was I to take that as a complement? I cleared my throat once more, I truly didn’t know what to say. “Older, as in…matured”. He elaborated. Matured
