"Home sweet home!" I exclaimed with excitement as I stepped out of the car, feeling grateful for Henry's speedy driving today. "Thank you, Henry," I added, waving at the driver as he drove away.

"You're welcome, Cathy," Henry replied before disappearing down the driveway.

The name 'Lucas' resonated in my mind, consuming my thoughts. Guilt gnawed at me for not immediately thinking about my children, but I couldn't help it... Lucas had taken over every part of me.
