Maria's POV

I had seen Ethan arrive home looking agitated and possibly mad and I did not want to have to explain where I was coming from, it was only so long before he began to get suspicious of my constant outings.

I had rushed into the house through the back door and hurriedly changed my clothes, I had shown up into the living room just in time to hear him ask of me.

I waited for him to take a shower and come back into our room, before saying "What's the problem honey? You seem like you have a lot on your mind"

He fell on the bed beside me, his hair was still wet from the shower and was falling over his face in wet strands, I reached out and brushed one away from his face.

He let out a sigh "Do you ever feel like your entire existence is simply useless? Like you are stuck under the shadow of someone else and no matter how much you try, no matter what you do, you can never break free from that shadow" he said.

" Where is this coming from Ethan?" I asked him, I was surprise
