Chapter 128: Save her

When my eyes watered enough to get out the soot and dust I blinked it rapidly to get my vision right only for me to shut it close once again at the spectacle before me.

Was that what I thought it was?

Shuddering from what I had seen I slowly opened my eyes to see a single cut hand bleeding and detached strewn on the ground near the rubble undoubtedly belonging to Lily.

“No. No. No! This can’t be, Lily!” I shouted struggling in my seat to get out of my ropes and somehow go and search for her. I wanted to believe that the hand wasn’t hers and I wanted to believe that she was safe but the gut wrenching sight before me wasn’t helping the case even a little bit.

In my struggle and my worry to get out of my bounds I fell from my chair and tried to somehow shift towards the debris, to do something but soon after I smelt a pungent odor as blood seeped out from under the pile of cement.
