BOOK 2: 12. SINNER
My office work was very stressful and demanding, but never in all my years of working have I ever been this tired. Maid of Honor work- no, being Aliyah’s maid of honor, was the most stressful thing I ever got to do in my entire life. Like nothing was supposed to be this stressful. Nothing!

It was time for lunch, and God knows all I could think about was getting out of the office and going to have lunch. The good thing was that I was going to have lunch with Antonio because the grown man would forget to eat as long as he’s cooped up in that office of his. I tried calling Antonio severally after his mother left the house, but he wasn’t picking up. I know he was hurting and he wasn’t in his right state of mind due to the appearance of the woman that either physically and verbally abused him or just didn’t care enough. This was my problem with Antonio, I hardly knew anything about him, he never bothered to tell me anything. Anytime something happens to bring up his past, he does this; he goes into his shell and doesn’t want to talk about any of it, so where does that leave me?
