Book 2: 10. Sinner

In order to make sure that Diego had at least one parent taking him to school, Antonio and I had to draw up a schedule, which we followed religiously without end.

I was on off duty for a while, which meant Antonio had to take him to school in the morning before going to work, and bring him back home before returning back to work. This week was my week, and nothing could kill my excitement because I missed having the kid run to me every time dropped or picked him up from school.

I had dropped Diego off at school, which was almost a disaster because he was ten minutes late. You can’t blame me, Diego wanted chocolates.

On getting to work, I couldn’t help but notice that the air Dan had around him was a bit off; something was wrong with him.

“What’s wrong?” I asked him. We were currently in my office and he was playing with the pen he had in his hands instead of working.
