Vince raised an eyebrow and pointed to a deep check wound in the wolf's chest, the heart exposed, beating weakly before coming to a complete halt. "I was just helping him. You see, he can't live with all these injuries. If I must endure it until tomorrow, I'd rather help him die a little faster now."

Although I still feel uneasy, I understand what reality is. I squatted before the wolf, stroked his eyes, and wished him a peaceful death.
