Wandering Thoughts

The drive back home was silent, except for the soft R&B music that emanated from the car stereo, to which Arabella shook her head absentmindedly too.

As for Klaus, he just tapped his right foot and his right index finger on his knee as he stared outside the window, his thoughts wandering away.

He was thinking about the piece of art he’d bought, which was currently sitting in the trunk of his car, and the more he thought about it, the more he could note that Arabella was indeed right when she said it looked like her.

It didn’t look like her per say, but it deftly illustrated all what she must be going through, and for a second his heart clenched painfully.

He knew in the coming days, seeing the painting would take his mind back to her, whenever he stared at it and honestly that’s why he’d even purchased it.

He wanted to be reminded of her, and all that she stood for, every second of every minute of the day.
