Chapter Forty-One

After I escorted him to his room, I stood there for some seconds and watched him lay down on the bed. It felt so bad to know that I was the cause of everything. If he had not fallen in love with me, he would not have been tagged as a betrayal by anyone.

No matter how harsh he was on me at first, he never forcefully or sexually took advantage of me and I appreciated him for that. "Aren't you going to go away?" He inquired and snapped his fingers, bringing back to reality.

If I had the chance to stay by his right side, I wouldn't hesitate. "I'll just wait until you fall asleep so I can know you're safe. I don't want anything bad to happen to you."

He sat up and let out a light chuckle. "We definitely know you can't save me because you're not even a wolf. You should just go back to your room because it's safer there." He replied.

A raspy breath scratched my throat.

I wasn't going to leave until he fell asleep and I wanted to show him how stubborn I was. "I can't leave you until you fall
