Chapter Twenty-Four

I was standing there frozen to the ground, staring wide eyed at the wolf fast approaching me. Unable to move, my heart beats fast as I thought that it was her end.

Slowly my eyes closed but another sound of fast approaching footsteps made me turn my head to the side just to see another giant wolf rushing towards me.

The wolf jumped in front of me, just in time to stop the attack of the other.

I watched them fight brutally, drawing blood and whimpering any time one would bite into the flesh of another. The cracking sound made the wolf howled in pain, making her heart squeeze at the sound of it. I saw the wolf that was heading towards me running away looking injured while the one that I noticed saved me, turned his giant head making their eyes connect.

Feeling grateful towards my savior, I decided to approach him, noticing he was also injured but the wolf turned away and ran into the forest, leaving me standing there all alone, wondering what just happened and who was that wolf.
