100. Bloody Cat

Dianne stroked her newly adopted pigtail last Saturday and gave it an affectionate look. "Luna, it's lucky that you're around so my nightmare didn't seem so bad."

Luna, the Persian cat, just looked at Dianne with her puppy eyes and continued licking its paws.

Dianne's heart skipped a beat as her phone rang, jolting her awake from a deep slumber. With bleary eyes, she fumbled for her phone on the nightstand, the screen casting an eerie glow in the darkness of her bedroom. The name "Nicolas" flashed across the screen, sending a wave of confusion through her sleepy mind.

"Why is Nicolas calling so early in the morning?" she wondered, her voice cracking with fatigue as she answered the call.

"Hello?" Dianne croaked, trying to sound more awake than she felt.

"Dianne, it's me, Nicolas," came the urgent voice from the other end of the line. "You need to get up, something incredible has happened!"
