22. Penthouse

Dianne rolled her eyes after peering at Nicolas through the rearview mirror of the taxi. Really, she had to fight with Nicolas again just because he didn't want to take a taxi home. The two of them had argued even while walking down the hallway of the hospital corridor earlier.

I don't know what the man wanted, why suddenly his boss was suddenly showing favoritism just to go home from the hospital alone.

'He thinks, as the CEO he wants to be welcomed home by an orchestra! Dianne grumbled to herself, remembering how annoying Nicolas could be when he sulked. 'It's useless being handsome but sulking!" she grumbled again.

Nicolas, on the other hand, was just looking out the glass window of the taxi. Although he was happy to have been discharged by the doctor, for some reason he felt so empty.

'I have no relatives at all? Really? Nicolas felt that something was not right. 'What kind of life did I lead in the past without a family? How could there be none? How did I become what I am now?" h
